We will comply with the controlled outages until they inform us to stop.Your Career Delivering Quality Service to our Members (MISO) is requiring temporary load reduction for the portion of the MidSouth EC distribution system they serve. Midcontinent Independent System Operator, Inc. Once we have gone through a complete cycle of our system, the controlled outage process will start over at the first circuits that were curtailed. We systematically go circuit by circuit across the entire system. We will continue to conduct the controlled outages until MISO notifies us to cease. We do not determine when the controlled outage requirements will conclude. These r otating outages are staged at intervals of approximately 30 minutes at this time. Electric distribution utilities, like MidSouth, are required by MISO to conduct load-shedding procedures to prevent a catastrophic event to our entire power system across the grid that spans from Texas to Canada. What we are experiencing is an emergency procedure put into place by MISO to protect the power grid. We will comply with the controlled outages until they inform us to stop. (MISO) is requiring us to resume temporary load reduction for the portion of the MidSouth EC distribution system they serve.
